In the sense that, hey, if the software has assumed faulty hardware, and has built resilience into the software layer, then software is the right answer. But if in fact a whole lot of workloads, sort of the difference between a virtual machine and a Kubernetes machine is who is taking care of resilience? In the VM, I’m assuming the hardware is, and I’ll run any software including containers. In the opposite view I can only run containerized software because I’m not presuming resilience in the hardware. And for a lot of things, hardware is better for resilience, right? I can see memory errors, I can correct memory errors, I can see link failures...
